Sunday rain, transit hiccups, and a full slate indoors

It's 8°C and cloudy this morning, so grab layers if you're heading out. Sun sets at 6:03 PM, so plan your evening accordingly—it'll be dark before dinner if you're thinking outdoors. UV's minimal, so no burn worries.

If you're taking SkyTrain downtown, heads up: the Expo Line between Waterfront and Commercial-Broadway is running on LIM rail replacement through 10:15 AM today. Add 20 minutes to your trip if you're heading that way early. A few bus routes are also on detour overnight through Wednesday—136s around Brentwood, Lougheed, and Edmonds stations are rerouted from 7 PM to 5 AM for construction work, so if you're out late those nights, check ahead.

Politically, it's been a week—Richmond went Conservative across all four ridings in the provincial sweep, and the province greenlit $400,000 for a North Van kid's rare brain disorder treatment in Germany. Good news on that front. There's also been the usual back-and-forth on health care and education as the dust settles from election day.

Hook Seabar on Denman just closed after nine years if you had a spot there—worth remembering. On the flip side, the Baan Lao team's got two new concepts launching on Granville Island this summer, so something to watch. Tonight, if you're feeling Japanese street food, Le Tigre and Toki Doki are doing a one-night reunion at Torafuku on Main Street.

Soccer-wise, Vancouver FC hosts Calgary Wild at Swangard at 1:00 PM if that's your vibe. For the evening, you've got solid options indoors. The Orpheum's got Bernstein's *West Side Story* with the Vancouver Symphony at 2:00 PM if you want an afternoon matinee, then the VSO's back at 7:00 PM with *Hocus Pocus In Concert*. Comedy's on at the Vogue with Josh Johnson at 5:00 PM, and live music spans the Biltmore (Bedouine at 7:00 PM) and The WISE Hall (Olive Klug at 7:00 PM). Rain's light but steady, so everything's made for being under a roof.

Enjoy your Sunday—it's the kind of day where you pick your corner and settle in.
