If you're heading to BC Place to watch a World Cup match in person, familiarize yourself with FIFA's clear bag policy before you arrive—it's stricter than the rules for regular sporting events and concerts at the venue.
All FIFA stadiums enforce a clear bag policy to "maintain a safe and efficient entry process." Bags must be made of plastic, vinyl, or PVC materials so security can easily see the contents. Clear bags must not exceed 12 inches x 6 inches x 12 inches (30 cm x 30 cm x 15 cm).
You can bring a small clutch purse or wallet—"approximately the size of a hand"—and it doesn't have to be clear. However, it must be smaller than 4.5 inches x 6.5 inches (or 11 cm x 16.5 cm). Venue staff are strict about enforcing these size limits.
All bags will be inspected at entry. If your bag exceeds the size limits, you may be required to check it with venue staff and security. Plan to arrive early to allow time for inspection.
