South Granville construction is officially complete, and the neighborhood debuts its new outdoor plazas Saturday, June 27, with a Plaza Premiere celebration.
The revamped street features two liquor-permitted plazas at West 13th and West 14th Avenues designed in a European-style "linger" approach. Today's Plaza Premiere at Granville and West 14th Ave will feature an iced matcha bar, live art, local vendors, live music, and more.
The summer programming runs through fall. On July 17, the Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra performs classical renditions of modern pop hits. GranVino Wine Walk returns August 15 from noon to 6 p.m. as a ticketed wine-and-shop tour pairing local boutiques with B.C. wineries.
Weekly events include Graze Mini Produce Markets every Thursday through September 24, Bend & Flow Yoga on select dates in July and August, and Plaza Pours Wine Tastings throughout the month. The street now features wider sidewalks, more public seating, easier parking with improved wayfinding signage, and full-time street parking.
