Toronto Raptors return to Vancouver on October 10 for preseason game against Clippers

The Toronto Raptors are returning to Vancouver this October for a preseason game against the Los Angeles Clippers at Rogers Arena on Saturday, October 10.

The matchup is part of the NBA Canada Games, which will also feature the Raptors playing the Miami Heat in Quebec City on October 3. The Vancouver game marks the seventh time the Raptors have visited Rogers Arena since the Vancouver Grizzlies left for Memphis in 2001, and the eighth preseason game the NBA has held in Vancouver since establishing the Canada Games in 2012.

NBA preseason games consistently sell out in Vancouver. Last year, the Raptors and Denver Nuggets packed Rogers Arena, and the crowd energy impressed Raptors head coach Darko Rajaković. "We feel a lot of love," he said. "We feel that the whole city is behind the team. We were in the locker room before the start of the game… it was already so loud inside [the arena], and so many fans inside."

Raptors star Scottie Barnes emphasized the importance of bringing the game to Canadian fans. "Every time we wear the Raptors jersey, we're representing the entire country, so it's always special to have the opportunity to play games in communities across Canada," he said. "It's important to us that fans from coast to coast have the chance to experience Raptors basketball, and we can't wait to share those moments together this preseason."
