Coquitlam RCMP seeks dash-cam footage of targeted shooting on Schoolhouse Street

Coquitlam RCMP is seeking dash-camera footage of a targeted shooting that occurred on August 29 between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. in the 100 block of Schoolhouse Street.
Police are asking anyone who was travelling or parked in the area with a dash camera to contact them. "Even footage that may appear uneventful or unrelated could contain information that is valuable to the investigation," Mounties said in a news release.
Coquitlam RCMP has determined the shooting is believed to be targeted and there is no ongoing risk to the public. However, the motive remains under investigation. The Coquitlam RCMP General Investigation Section is leading the case.
Anyone with dash-camera footage from the date and time window is asked to contact Coquitlam RCMP at 604-945-1550 and refer to file number 2026-22634. "In order to protect the integrity of the investigation, no further information will be released at this time," police said.
