Langley Park Gets Upgraded River Boardwalk
Campbell Valley Regional Park's renovated southern boardwalk on the Little River Loop is now open to the public after a $2 million project.
Hikers and joggers on Langley's most popular walking route have reason to celebrate. The $2 million replacement of the longest boardwalk at Campbell Valley Regional Park is complete and open to the public. The new southern boardwalk on the Little River Loop trail puts walkers right through the middle of the broad Little Campbell River floodplain that cuts through the park south of 16 Avenue.
The year-long project replaced aging infrastructure on one of South Langley's most well-trodden paths, keeping the magic intact — the ability to walk right through the river's heart rather than around it. Interpretive signs are still being added, but the boardwalk itself is ready for foot traffic. It's the kind of quiet infrastructure win that doesn't make headlines but matters deeply to people who use the park regularly. The river loop remains one of the region's best ways to get outside without leaving the suburbs.
