CTV Vancouver has ended its on-air relationship with Everything Financial Group after the B.C. Securities Commission imposed a temporary order on July 16 against the company and its founder Peter Cishecki.

The commission's order prohibits the company, its affiliate Everything Financial Consultants Inc., Cishecki, and another individual, Shannon Knapp, from engaging in trading or promotional activities. The BCSC stated in a news release that its staff obtained evidence indicating the companies sold debt securities to investors and made principal and interest payments using other investors' money, with Knapp contributing to the conduct.

Everything Financial had regular paid segments on CTV Vancouver's morning talk show before the relationship ended. The temporary order remains in effect until July 30 or until the commission's executive director sets a hearing. None of the evidence has been tested before a commission tribunal.
