Kristi Noem, former U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security, has joined Vancouver-based NovaRed Mining in a strategic advisory role.
Noem, who was fired by the U.S. president this year and is now Special Envoy to the Shield of the Americas, will help the company advance its corporate development strategy and evaluate new opportunities.
"Kristi brings exceptional leadership experience and a deep understanding of the policy, regulatory, and economic factors that influence infrastructure investment, resource development, and long-term economic growth," said Brian Goss, CEO of NovaRed Mining.
Noem said in a statement that she's excited to contribute her experience in public policy, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning. "NovaRed is pursuing opportunities in sectors that will remain important to long-term growth and supply-chain resilience," she said.
NovaRed uses machine learning-driven geospatial intelligence combined with traditional geological expertise to identify and advance domestic exploration opportunities that support economic and strategic objectives.
