Two teens rescued by helicopter from Mount Brunswick after ankle injury
Lions Bay Search and Rescue extracted hikers via Talon helicopters Saturday after one girl slipped on loose rock and couldn't bear weight on injured ankle.

Two teenaged girls were airlifted off Mount Brunswick on Saturday after one suffered an ankle injury on a hike down the mountain.
The injured girl slipped on loose rock and was unable to bear weight on her ankle. Both hikers had a first aid kit with them and managed to stabilize the ankle while waiting for rescue on difficult terrain.
Lions Bay Search and Rescue requested assistance from North Shore Rescue and arranged a helicopter extraction. Talon Helicopters conducted the hoist operation, bringing both teens off the mountain safely. Lions Bay SAR has previously responded to rescues in the area — the team was called out to James Peak in the Howe Sound Crest area in July and has documented prior rescues from Mount Brunswick.
