West Broadway is being reduced to one lane in each direction between Birch and Granville from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. throughout the summer, the Broadway Subway Project announced.

Intermittent turning restrictions will also occur at the West Broadway intersections with Granville Street and Hemlock Street, adding pressure to those already congested junctures.

The closure is part of ongoing subway construction work. The Broadway Subway Project said access to businesses, health services, and residences will be maintained, but residents and commuters should plan extra travel time and watch for traffic control personnel.

For additional questions, residents can call the 24/7 public information phone line at 1-844-815-6114. Updates on traffic and construction activities are available through the BSP newsletter or on Threads and Facebook.
