Shake Shack is opening its first Canadian drive-thru location on Macleod Trail on Thursday, Aug. 27, just months after the burger chain's initial Alberta outpost landed at CF Chinook Centre in May.
The new location at 9253 Macleod Tr. SW will open at 10:30 a.m., with the first 100 vehicles receiving limited-edition merchandise. The drive-thru will offer a combo meal designed for speed, letting customers grab food without leaving their car. Beyond the drive-thru, the location includes dine-in space.
Local artist Larissa Schuler has hand-painted a mural visible from the drive-thru featuring iconic Alberta and Shake Shack imagery. The menu will include Alberta-exclusive items like the Prairie Berry Shake alongside standard Shack favourites.
As HighOnCity reported in June, the company announced this location would be a Canadian first. Given how quickly lineups formed at the Chinook Centre opening, a long wait is likely—you may want to arrive early if you plan to visit Thursday morning.
