Subway Canada has officially settled a long-running debate: a hot dog is a sandwich, and the brand is here to prove it.
The SubDog pairs a jumbo all-beef Schneiders hot dog—nearly half a pound—with the familiar Subway Canada formula: fresh-baked bread prepared daily in-restaurant, plus all the toppings and sauce of your choice. You can even toast it.
The creation came from a simple question: how do you make hot dogs the Subway way? The answer mirrors Subway's core appeal—choose your bread, pick your toppings, drizzle your sauce, customize entirely.
One early taster built a Japanese-inspired version with Italian Herb & Cheese bread, cheddar cheese, crispy cucumbers, shredded lettuce, red onions, tomato slices, and Sweet Onion Teriyaki Sauce topped with crunchy onions. The result was exactly what you'd expect: a quality hot dog elevated by quality ingredients, filling and satisfying.
The SubDog is available at participating locations across Canada for a limited time, starting June 29.
