An Sang, a new Vietnamese breakfast restaurant, is gearing up to open at 843 17th Ave. S.W.—the site where Ramen Taka closed less than a month ago.
"In Vietnamese culture, breakfast is considered the most important meal of the day," the team told Dished. "Through our food, we hope to introduce and share this important part of our culture with the community."
The menu spans dishes from all regions of Vietnam: Northern pho, Central Vietnam's Bun Bo Hue, and Southern-style broken rice platters. Bo Ne, a sizzling beef plate combining quality Alberta beef with classic Vietnamese flavours, will also appear on the menu.
The team aims to open by the end of June. Once it does, An Sang will join the Red Mile's growing food scene, adding Vietnamese breakfast culture to a neighbourhood known for its mix of casual and upscale dining.
On Instagram, the restaurant has already built anticipation with previews of the menu and space. 17 Avenue continues its evolution as a destination for diverse food experiences.
