Bragg Creek Days is expanding with new attractions this year as the community celebrates July 18 and 19.

The annual parade, a hallmark since 1967, will kick off Saturday at 10:30 a.m. People can still register floats before July 13. Saturday also features a pancake breakfast by the Redwood Meadows Fire Department from 7:30 to 10 a.m., an outdoor market from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., live bands, beer gardens, pie-eating contests, pony rides, live demonstrations, a kids' fun zone, and food vendors.

Sunday brings new additions: the Cowboy Trail Car Club's Show and Shine, an RC Crawler Race, and an automotive skills challenge throughout the afternoon. The day also includes the Longview market from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and a beer garden from noon to 4 p.m.

Malissa Holstein, a volunteer on the marketing team, said the festival serves locals and visitors alike. "It's a great weekend for friends to come together and for visitors to see all the amazing things that Bragg Creek has to offer, including the event itself, but also all our amazing shops and restaurants," she said.

The event relies on about 80 volunteers covering roughly 100 spots. Bragg Creek Days is free to attend and runs rain or shine. People can register to volunteer or find the full schedule at braggcreekca.com/bragg-creek-days.
