Canada Day celebrations are happening across Calgary on Wednesday with live performances, cultural activities, and festivities spanning parks, plazas and riverfront spaces.

The main stage at Prince's Island Park kicks off at 2 p.m. with the national anthem and a land acknowledgement, followed by performances from Micah Sage, Jamie Finer, Kardinal Offishal, Tia Wood, and Walk off the Earth closing at 8 p.m. The Confluence hosts an Indigenous spotlight and powwow, artisans market, food vendors, Tipis and Trappers' tents. Studio Bell celebrates 10 years at the National Music Centre, and festivities continue at Sien Lok Park, the Municipal Building, Harry Hays green space, East Village and Eau Claire Plaza.

The fireworks show happens at 11 p.m. at Stampede Park with public viewing at the Max Bell Centre parking lot and surrounding green space. Transit to the Franklin or Barlow/Max Bell LRT stations is recommended.

Free shuttle service runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., stopping every 15 minutes between Eau Claire and East Village. Free parking is available in most on-street ParkPlus zones and designated parkades.
