Free Stampede pancake breakfasts are already stacking up
Dozens of spots around the city are serving free pancakes during the 10-day event. Here's where to find them.

The Calgary Stampede is just weeks away, and dozens of locations across the city are firing up the griddles for free pancake breakfasts throughout the 10-day event.
Starting with First Flip on Stephen Avenue between 1st Street SE and Centre Street on Thursday, July 2 from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m., the breakfasts kick off early. That same day, the Calgary Dream Centre (4510 Macleod Trl. S.) will be serving.
Saturday, July 4 sees the most action: Richmond's Pub (3919 Richmond Rd. SW, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.), Grace Presbyterian Church (9 to 11 a.m.), Cranston Residents Association (11 Cranarch Rd. SE, 9 to 11 a.m.), MaKami College at Marlborough Mall (3800 Memorial Dr., 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.), Canela (319 9th Ave. SE, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.), and Offside Pub (2820 Centre St. N., 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) are all on the menu.
Sunday, July 5 brings Our House (2411 4th St. NW, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.), Commons Church in Kensington (2404 Kensington Rd. NW, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.), and Brookfield Residential YMCA (4995 Market St., 9 to 11 a.m.).
The following week, Tim Hortons Family Day at the Stampede grounds (1410 Stampede Trl. SE) runs 8 to 10 a.m. on Monday, July 6. Remington YMCA (108 Quarry Pk Rd. SE) serves Tuesday, July 7 from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. BMO Kids Day at the Stampede grounds follows Thursday, July 9, 8 to 10 a.m. Shawnessy YMCA (333 Shawville Blvd. SE, 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.) also hosts Thursday. Friday, July 10 rounds out the week with Saddletowne YMCA (7555 Falconridge Blvd. NE, 9 to 11 a.m.) and Shane Homes YMCA (11300 Rocky Ridge Rd. NW, 9 to 11 a.m.).
