Mount Pleasant Vintage is bringing its Vancouver cocktail-and-retail hybrid concept to Calgary on July 30, opening its first location outside the Pacific Northwest in Victoria Park.

The space at 1207 1st St. SW takes over what previously housed Home & Away. The Calgary venue will replicate the full Mount Pleasant concept: a counter-culture neighbourhood cocktail bar and grill combined with a functioning vintage and resale shop.

The cocktail program will focus on house-made ingredients and classic drinks alongside more technical cocktails. The food menu leans into live-fire cooking with seasonal ingredients centred on smoked and grilled dishes.

The Vancouver original ranked 91st on North America's 50 best bars extended list, and the brand has earned a reputation for pairing hospitality with retail in a single, carefully curated space. The Calgary opening marks an expansion of a concept that has resonated with drinkers looking for a venue where creativity extends beyond the glass.

Victoria Park has been a testing ground for restaurant and bar concepts, and Mount Pleasant arrives amid growing activity along 1st Street SW.
