Okotoks Arts Walk fills Elma Street this weekend
Nearly 50 artists showcase work in multiple mediums on historic Elma Street Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Street closure allows for live music.
Nearly 50 artists are taking over two blocks of Okotoks' historic Elma Street this Saturday for the Elma Street Arts Walk.
The event runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. along Elma from Northridge Drive to Veterans Way, showcasing painters, photographers, potters, illustrators, sculptors, glass artists, and weavers alongside live demonstrations.
Organizers are closing the street to traffic for the first time, creating extra space and bringing back buskers for musical entertainment. The expanded footprint means more room to wander, browse artwork, and watch artists at work.
Hosted by the Okotoks Arts Council, it's a celebration of all forms of art with pieces for sale and artists available to discuss their work. It's a chance to see what local creatives are making and support the community's arts scene.
