Airdrie gets free preview of Le Cirque de la Nuit's circus cabaret coming in November

Le Cirque de la Nuit is bringing a free preview of its circus artistry to Airdrie on August 6 at Bert Church LIVE Theatre.

One of the company's performers will deliver a high-energy, street-style one-man unicycle show—featuring incredible unicycle skills, comedy, and audience participation. The performance is designed to give audiences a taste of the calibre of entertainment the company is known for ahead of the full production.

"It's the perfect opportunity to meet one of our performers and get excited for our full production, 'Beyond the Big Top Cabaret,' coming to Airdrie on November 28," said Deanne Matley, an Entertainment Consultant and Performer with Le Cirque de la Nuit.

Professional circus artists train year-round to maintain the strength, precision, and technical skills their disciplines require. While an individual act may last only minutes on stage, it is backed by hundreds, if not thousands, of hours of training and rehearsal. At Le Cirque de la Nuit, performers come from across Canada and beyond, representing a wide range of circus disciplines and performing arts.

The company has been producing shows since 2013. They recently completed performances on two stages at the Calgary Stampede and presented their original circus theatre production "The Time Machinist" at the Grand Theatre in Calgary in May. Each production requires months of planning, rehearsals, and collaboration between performers.

Matley herself has been working in the live entertainment industry for many years, connecting communities and event organizers with exceptional performers while performing herself.
