Airdrie Public Library's Create Space is opening its doors for a hands-on drop-in experience on Friday, July 17, and Friday, August 7, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Create Space Explore Day is a chance to try creative tools, explore technology like 3D printing, and see what the space offers with support from the Create Space team. The space is free to access, with costs only applying to materials or project supplies. In most cases, patrons can bring their own materials, with the exception of 3D printing.

"Create Space Explore Day is for everyone, and what's exciting is that every age group will have a different experience," said Jamieson Gardiner, APL's community creator. "We are working hard to increase the usability of the space, and the public should keep a close eye out for updates on an ongoing project we think they'll be very excited about!"

The Create Space includes spaces for reading, studying, computers, gathering, play and discovery for children, and creative work where ideas can grow and come to life.
