Airdrie library celebrates seniors with films, workshops, coffee
The Airdrie Public Library is hosting Seniors' Week programming including classic films, estate planning workshops, and their signature Coffee and Conversation program.
The Airdrie Public Library is marking Seniors' Week with a mix of classic films, practical workshops, and regular programming designed to honour and celebrate the seniors who form a vital part of the community.
The library's "Afternoon at the Movies" series in the City of Airdrie Presenter Space will screen classics including The Incredible Journey (June 1 at 1:30 p.m.), My Fair Lady (June 3 at 1:30 p.m.), and True Grit (June 4 at 1:30 p.m.). On June 2, the library will host two consecutive workshops: Dead Serious Fun: Estate Planning Conversations from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by Financial Strength Through Life Transitions at noon.
The library's signature Seniors' Coffee and Conversation program, which meets every Wednesday, will host a special edition on June 2 at 2 p.m. "The Library wouldn't be what it is without the amazing seniors of Airdrie," said Abra, the library's adult programmer. "The wisdom they bring is invaluable."
Airdrie's Seniors' Week programming extends beyond the library. Full details on all events in the region are available at airdrieseniors.ca/airdrieseniorsweek.
