Airdrie is hosting Mighty Machines, a community showcase where children can experience construction equipment, emergency vehicles, and operational machines firsthand.
The event runs July 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Main Street Square. On display will be tractors, emergency vehicles, garbage trucks, snowplows, loaders, tow trucks, an ice resurfacer, FortisAlberta's bucket truck, and more.
Children can climb aboard selected vehicles, meet real-life operators and community heroes, honk horns, and ask questions. The event promises high-energy discovery, hands-on fun, photo opportunities, and what organizers call "unforgettable memories for machine lovers of all ages."
The showcase highlights how these vehicles "build, protect, rescue, clean, and power our community," according to organizers. The event is supported by Tires on the Run.
