A Canadian-owned pickleball club is expanding into the Calgary region for the first time with a new facility opening in Airdrie.

Pickleplex Social Club will open at 2649 Main Street S in Airdrie, marking the chain's second Alberta location after Red Deer. The facility will expand indoor court access for players in the region and offer programming for all skill levels.

Beginners will find "Pickleball 101" sessions, first-timer nights, and open play. More experienced players will have access to open play sessions, leagues, tournaments, and men's and women's drop-in options.

The club will also feature lessons, clinics, and coaching, along with youth programming including summer camps for kids aged 8 to 11 and 12 to 14.

Red Deer's Pickleplex location features nine pickleball courts, two private party rooms, and a pro shop with equipment and accessories. Visitors can choose from a variety of memberships with different perks.

No opening date or full amenity details have been released yet for the Airdrie location. The expansion reflects growing interest in pickleball across Canada, and positions the Calgary region to join the sport's fastest-growing communities.
