A pedestrian was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a work truck in northeast Calgary on Friday, June 26.

Emergency crews were called to McDougall Road and 9 Street N.E. around noon for reports of a collision. Officers arrived to find one person seriously hurt. The individual was transported to hospital with serious and life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the work truck, which was towing a trailer, remained at the scene. Police confirmed the vehicle involved was a work truck. The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
