Bulls on the Beach rodeo event draws 1,000 spectators to Chestermere on July 17

Chestermere's annual Bulls on the Beach rodeo, hosted by the Rocky View Chestermere Agricultural Society, takes place July 17. Gates open at 5 p.m. and bull riding begins at 7 p.m., wrapping around 9 p.m. before live music kicks off and runs until midnight.
The Bull Riders Canada-sanctioned event features Mutton Bustin' for kids, Lady Bronc riding, and Charity Bull Riding. The RVCA is expecting approximately 1,000 spectators, sponsors, cowboys, and volunteers. At intermission, steer riders — the future bull riders — will perform after qualifying at a separate event, competing in front of the main crowd alongside their idols.
Tickets are not available at the gate and have historically sold out every year, so early purchase is advised. All information about the event can be found at www.rvcagsociety.ca.
The fair also features a bench show, kids zone, market, and pancake breakfast. Last year, weather challenges forced early shutdown during the cabaret, so organizers are "praying to the weather gods for some great weather this year," said Rocky View Chestermere Agricultural Society Executive Director Andrea Fleming.
