Calgary police are investigating an indecent exposure incident at Braeside School Tuesday morning, June 16, after a man allegedly exposed himself to students during recess.

Officers responded to reports at the school, located at 1747 107 Ave. S.W., around 10 a.m. In an email to families, the school said a man approached students playing in the schoolyard, reached out to one student and exposed himself before leaving the area.

"The students notified school staff who contacted police," the Calgary Police Service said. "The students are safe and officers are actively investigating and working with the school to confirm information and details, including a suspect description."

The school requested police presence during the lunch period and increased supervision for outdoor activities. "In consultation with CPS they have recommended we continue to operate as normally as possible," the notice to families said. "We are continuing outdoor activities with additional supervision."

Braeside School teaches Grades 1 to 6. Police asked anyone who witnessed the incident or has doorbell camera footage near the school to contact them.
