Police search for suspect in playground indecent act
Calgary officers renew appeal for help identifying a man involved in incident near Whitehorn playground last December.
Calgary police are seeking help identifying a man involved in an indecent act near a Whitehorn playground in December, renewing their appeal with an updated description.
The incident occurred around 12:45 p.m. on December 12, 2025, when an intoxicated man was spotted near the playground. Witnesses told police he engaged in inappropriate behaviour and may have been recording children with his phone. When members of the public approached him, he left the area.
Officers canvassed the neighbourhood for witnesses and security footage but haven't located an image of the suspect. Police have now released a composite sketch and updated description.
The suspect is described as a man of South Asian descent, 70 to 80 years old, about 5'6" tall, with a medium build and medium complexion. He has a white-tipped beard with black roots and brown and red patches. At the time, he was wearing black headphones, navy work pants, black shoes, a black toque and a blue puffer jacket, and was using a white-and-gold smartphone.
