Calgary Flames goaltender Devin Cooley has had quite the offseason. After the 2025-26 season wrapped, the 29-year-old suited up for Team USA at the World Championships, then proposed to his fiancée, Natalie Weyers, at Lake Lucerne before returning to Calgary.
Cooley, known as a true animal lover, found time during the Stampede to participate in farm activities at the Agriculture Zone. Part of that fun included helping groom a sheep — something clearly right up his alley. "I can't wait. I am so excited right now," he said with enthusiasm.
Cooley is entering his third season with the Flames organization. While he maintains his California roots, his time in Calgary has picked up some Canadian habits. "I'd say so," he said when asked if he's become a Calgarian. "I go home, and some of my friends think I have a Canadian accent. 'What are you talking aboot?'"
