Calgary police homicide unit is investigating the death of a man who died Wednesday night in the southwest community of Rosscarrock.

Shortly before 11 p.m. on July 30, police were called to the 1400 block of 38 Street S.W. for reports of a disturbance. Officers located a man in medical distress and transported him to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Two people are currently in custody. Police believe the victim and suspects were known to each other, though the investigation is in its early stages and no further details have been confirmed. An autopsy date is pending.
