Sip Soda Co., a growing dirty soda chain with locations already in Sherwood Park, St. Albert and Kamloops, is bringing its signature crunchy-ice concoctions to Whyte Avenue. The shop soft-opened last week and will hold its official grand opening Sunday, Aug. 30.
From 9 a.m. to noon on opening day, the first 50 customers will receive a regular-sized drink for free. The menu centres on drinks loaded with crunchy nugget ice, creamy mix-ins, and house-made syrups. Options include the Starting Lineup (for cream soda and Dr. Pepper fans), the Dirty Drumheller (berry-focused), and the Full Send Citrus (mixing 7UP with freshly squeezed citrus juices). Customers can also build custom drinks from a full menu.
The new location sits at 10514 82nd Ave., Unit 10512, in the heart of Edmonton's music and bar strip. Whyte Avenue has long drawn younger crowds seeking food, drink and nightlife, making it an obvious expansion point for the soda chain as it grows across the region.
