The Hoagie Half, a sandwich-grabbing relay race that started in Vancouver last year, is coming to Edmonton for the first time on Saturday, September 19. Teams of four will race 21 kilometres collectively, with each runner covering roughly five kilometres between Happy Beer Street and the Garneau location of Farrow, a local sandwich shop.

The format is simple: each team member runs their leg to Farrow, grabs a sandwich, and races it back to the base. It's a wild, high-energy atmosphere—serious cheers, a thriving crowd, and the kind of event Edmonton hasn't seen before.

Team tickets are on early-bird sale at $74.09 for four people. That includes a limited-edition Hoagie Half t-shirt, a hoagie, a welcome beer, and entry to the after-party with DJs, drinks, and more prizes. General admission prices increase on August 10. Spectator tickets go on sale August 12 for $12.58.

The race runs from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 9959 76th Ave. NW in Edmonton. Start assembling your team now—early-bird pricing closes August 10.
