Most Edmonton attractions are open for Canada Day on Wednesday, July 1, though with adjusted hours and some closures.

Movie theatres: Cineplex Entertainment and Landmark Cinemas both operate, opening 30 minutes before their first advertised showtime and closing approximately 15 minutes after the last show.

Attractions: The Edmonton Valley Zoo opens 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; the Muttart Conservatory, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. West Edmonton Mall's Waterpark and Galaxyland both operate 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

City services: All city-operated aquatics, leisure, and fitness centres have reduced hours over the long weekend—check individual locations for specifics. The Edmonton Public Library is closed.

Transit: All ETS bus routes operate on the Sunday service schedule.

Parking: On-street parking is free on Canada Day. The impound lot is open 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Traffic: Expect delays two hours before and after the evening fireworks, particularly when crossing the river. Motorists should plan extra time and check the city's website for full road closures.
