Where to catch Canada Day events in Edmonton

Edmonton is hosting a full slate of Canada Day celebrations Wednesday, July 1, across multiple venues.
The City of Edmonton's signature fireworks show starts at 11 p.m. in the central river valley, launching from Kinsmen Park. The city recommends watching from Queen Elizabeth Park, Victoria Park, or Constable Ezio Faraone Park for the best view. The fireworks will also be visible from the Alberta legislature grounds, on 109 Street near the High Level Bridge, Government House Park, and other spots near the North Saskatchewan River valley. No viewing is available from Kinsmen Park itself — pedestrian access will be blocked off starting at 6 a.m., and park amenities including the playground, tennis courts, and picnic areas will be closed.
The Ice District's Fan Park opens at 9 a.m. with soccer-themed activities, music, food, and live viewing parties of World Cup matches. Three games are scheduled that day at 10 a.m., 2 p.m., and 6 p.m.
Alberta's legislature grounds will host Canada Day festivities from noon to 5 p.m., including musical performances, family-friendly entertainment, yard games, open house tours of the legislature, and food trucks.
The Edmonton Riverhawks play the Bellingham Bells at Re/Max Field starting at 7:05 p.m., with special Canada Day programming.
Mill Woods Park offers live music and entertainment on its main stage from 2 p.m. onwards, plus train rides, interactive soccer activities, carnival games, food trucks, and artisan vendors. Fireworks launch at 11 p.m.
