Two dead, two injured in Leduc collision Sunday

A man and woman from Leduc, both 55, were killed in a two-vehicle crash near Highway 2A and 50 Street.

Two people died and two others were injured in a collision in Leduc Sunday evening.

Leduc RCMP, EMS, and fire rescue crews responded around 8 p.m. to a report of a vehicle collision near Highway 2A and 50 Street. They found a collision between a Ford Fusion and a Ford Edge. The driver and passenger of the Ford Edge—a 55-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman, both from Leduc—were declared dead at the scene.

A rear passenger in the Edge was taken to hospital with unknown injuries. The Ford Fusion driver was transported with non-life-threatening injuries. RCMP collision reconstructionists are investigating the cause.
