A 23-year-old woman has died after being discovered with life-threatening injuries in southeast Edmonton, and police are investigating the death as suspicious.
On Thursday, July 9, around 6:44 p.m., patrol officers responded to a call for an unresponsive female with suspicious injuries at a home in the Silverberry neighbourhood. An adult male was taken into custody shortly thereafter. EMS treated and transported the woman to hospital, where she died early Sunday.
Homicide detectives are now investigating. An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday.
