Charges are pending against a man arrested in connection with the death of a 23-year-old woman in southeast Edmonton, which has been ruled a homicide.

Edmonton police were called to a home in the Silverberry neighbourhood Thursday evening after reports of an unresponsive woman with suspicious injuries. She died in hospital Sunday. An autopsy determined the manner of death was homicide, though her cause of death was withheld by police for investigative purposes.

Edmonton police say the woman's name will be shared "when the investigation permits." The man was arrested at the home Thursday evening.
