An Edmonton-area massage therapist now faces seven counts of sexual assault following an investigation that expanded beyond Edmonton.
Julio Uribe Beltran, 36, was initially charged by Edmonton Police Service for allegedly touching a female client in a sexual manner at his practice, Bamboo Wellness, in an industrial area on the city's south side. That arrest prompted five additional survivors to come forward to Leduc RCMP with complaints about his conduct at another clinic.
RCMP investigated incidents reported to have occurred over a 10-month span from July 2025 to April 2026 at True Touch Massage Therapy and Fitness on 49th Avenue in Leduc. Those investigations resulted in six additional charges.
Beltran was released from custody with conditions including no contact with the complainants. He is scheduled to appear in Edmonton court on July 22 for the initial charge and in Leduc Provincial Court on August 6 for the additional charges.
Police believe there may be more survivors and are encouraging anyone with information to contact local police or report anonymously to Crime Stoppers.
