Edmonton police issue urgent alert for man and two children missing 12 days from Manning Town Centre

Edmonton police are seeking the public's help locating Scot MacDermid, 42, and his children George, 6, and Lesley, 9, who have been missing for 12 days.

The family was last seen Friday, Aug. 28 at Manning Town Centre at 155 Avenue and 37 Street in northeast Edmonton. MacDermid has been unreachable, and neither he nor the children have been seen or heard from since. "As a result, police are concerned for their welfare," the Edmonton Police Service said in a release issued Tuesday night.

Scot MacDermid is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, approximately 160 lbs, with brown hair and blue eyes. George is 4 feet 2 inches tall, approximately 45 lbs, with short curly brown hair and brown eyes. Lesley is 4 feet 4 inches tall, approximately 45 lbs, with medium-length curly brown hair and brown eyes.
