Edmonton police have charged a woman with second-degree murder in the stabbing death of a 32-year-old man in northeast Edmonton earlier this month.
Edmonton police were responding to an unrelated call near 118 Avenue and 47 Street at roughly 6 a.m. on June 10, when they became aware of a disturbance. They found Michael Joseph Conway seriously injured coming out of a home, followed by another person.
Despite life-saving measures performed by police and EMS, Conway died from his injuries in hospital. The other person was taken into custody without further incident. The two individuals know each other, and police are not looking for any other suspects.
An autopsy conducted on June 12 determined Conway died as a result of a stab wound, and his death was a homicide.
Police have charged Alexandra Bachinsky, 36, with second-degree murder.
