Quebec's Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ) issued a level-1 alert Tuesday for two pâté products made by Boulangerie Richard containing undeclared wheat and fish allergens.

The recalled products are PÂTÉ SAVEUR HARENG and PÂTÉ SAVEUR MORUE, both sold in boxes of 12 units and stored refrigerated. The company, based at 7836 rue Saint-Hubert in Montreal, initiated the voluntary recall for all lots that do not list wheat and fish on their labels. The affected products have been sold at multiple retailers across Quebec.

The alert applies to anyone with allergies to wheat or fish, or those with celiac disease or other gluten-related conditions. Products may contain additional allergens not yet identified. Consumers should not consume the recalled pâtés and should discard them or return them to the retailer where purchased.

No cases of allergic reaction linked to consumption of these products have been reported to MAPAQ as of Tuesday. The ministry classified this as a class-1 risk — the highest severity level.

Consumers with questions can contact MAPAQ at smsaia@mapaq.gouv.qc.ca or follow @MAPAQaliments on X. MAPAQ's media office can be reached at 418-380-2100, extension 3512, or relationsdepresse@mapaq.gouv.qc.ca.
