Quebec's Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food issued a public alert Friday for four prepared food products sold by Les marchés d'aliments naturels Tau inc. at 6845 Boulevard Taschereau in Brossard that contain undeclared allergens.

The recalled products are: tourtière de ville (soya and sulfites), pâte au poulet cuisine Tau (soya and sulfites), tarte aux pommes (soya and sulfites), and pâtes au saumon (soya). All batches without allergen labeling are affected.

The products were sold refrigerated in white cardboard boxes with clear plastic windows exclusively at the Brossard location. The company has begun recalling them, and the ministry issued the alert as a precautionary measure.

Anyone who suffers from a soya or sulfite allergy and has purchased these products should not consume them. The ministry has not received any reports of allergic reactions associated with these foods as of Friday.

People with questions can contact the ministry at smsaia@mapaq.gouv.qc.ca. Consumers experiencing symptoms after consuming a recalled product are advised to consult a healthcare professional.
