Quebec's agriculture ministry issued a health warning on Thursday for products from Création Madeleine SENC in Rawdon that contain undeclared allergens.

The MAPAQ advises anyone with allergies to eggs or sulfites to avoid consuming the affected products. Five pâté varieties — Le pâté du Lac St-Jean et ses trois viandes, Pâté mexicain, Pâté au poulet, Pâté au jambon et brocoli, and Pâté au saumon à la gaspésienne — contain eggs without being labeled as such. La quiche tomates épinards contains sulfites that are not declared on the label.

All affected products are 800-gram frozen items sold in carton packaging with a window display. They were offered for sale in multiple establishments and markets across the province.

The company is voluntarily recalling all affected lots — specifically, any product whose label does not mention the presence of eggs or sulfites. To date, no allergic reactions have been reported to the MAPAQ in connection with these products.

People with questions can contact the ministry at smsaia@mapaq.gouv.qc.ca. Anyone experiencing symptoms linked to consumption of these products should consult a healthcare professional.
