Longueuil police (SPAL) are looking for the public's help identifying a suspect in a mail theft that occurred in the Saint-Hubert borough on March 30. At approximately 1:40 p.m., a man wearing a fluorescent yellow safety vest and carrying a bundle of flyers posed as a mail delivery worker. He was seen searching through a mailbox before leaving with several envelopes. Residents recovered the mail from him before any fraud could occur.

The investigation revealed the stolen envelopes contained personal identification numbers (PINs) linked to TD Bank credit cards. Police also determined that a fraudulent credit card application had been submitted in a victim's name without authorization.

Police describe the suspect as over 25 years old, approximately 5-foot-10 and 175 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He also has a mustache, thin beard, and a tattoo on the side of his neck. Anyone with information is urged to contact Longueuil police.
