Man stabbed near Sherbrooke and Berri; suspect in custody

A 27-year-old man was hospitalized after being stabbed Friday, June 26 around 6 p.m. near Sherbrooke and Berri streets in Ville-Marie.

When Montreal police arrived, they found him conscious with an upper body injury. He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police spoke to witnesses at the scene and located a 64-year-old believed connected to the incident. He was taken into custody, though no charges have been laid. The investigation is ongoing.
