An 18-year-old man was taken to hospital early Saturday morning after being stabbed during what police describe as a fight involving several people.
Montreal police received a 911 call at approximately 3:30 a.m. reporting an injury near the intersection of Sainte-Catherine and Lambert-Closse streets in Ville-Marie borough. Officers found the victim conscious with injuries to the lower part of his body caused by a sharp object. He was transported to hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
According to preliminary information, a multi-person fight took place before the man was injured. A police perimeter was established to protect the scene for investigators and forensic identification technicians.
