Montreal police are investigating a suspicious death after discovering a body Thursday inside a tent near the Jacques-Cartier Bridge in Ville-Marie.

A 911 call came in around 8 a.m. on June 25 reporting an unresponsive person in a tent at the intersection of De Lorimier Avenue and Logan Street. First responders found a 36-year-old who was pronounced dead at the scene. Police did not disclose the individual's gender.

SPVM spokesperson Manuel Couture said the circumstances surrounding the death remain unclear and are being treated as suspicious.
