Autoroute 40 westbound in Repentigny will face nightly closures from August 30 to September 11 as the provincial Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility conducts asphalt paving work between boulevards Industriel and de la Rochelle.
Work will happen overnight to minimize traffic impact. Closures vary by night: Sunday closures run 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.; Monday through Thursday, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.; Friday, 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.; and Saturday, 9 p.m. to 8 a.m.
When full closures occur, traffic will be diverted to the service road to maintain at least one lane per direction. A complete closure of the on-ramp from the westbound service road to westbound Autoroute 40 between boulevards Industriel and Brien will also be in place during the work period.
Speed limits may be reduced to 70 km/h in the work zone, and some lanes may be narrowed. Temporary signage will mark detour routes.
The work is intended to improve road safety and driving comfort on this stretch between the Charles-De Gaulle Bridge and Route 341. Weather or operational constraints may cause delays, cancellations, or extensions—the ministry recommends checking Québec 511 before heading out.
