Autoroute 25, including the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel, will close in both directions overnight during the weekend of November 6. The closures are for maintenance and repair work on the tunnel's electrical and communication systems, along with repairs to damage from incidents and collisions over the past year. Transports Québec issued the notice on November 2.

In the Montréal direction, the highway closes from 23 h Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday, from 23 h Saturday to 9 a.m. Sunday, and from 23 h Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday. The Rive-Sud direction follows the same hours. Entrances to each closed section shut 30 minutes before the closure starts. On the Montréal side, avenue Souligny eastbound, between rue Dickson and rue Honoré-Beaugrand, also closes 30 minutes before the highway does.

The ministry says the work may be postponed because of bad weather or operational constraints. Drivers are told to check Québec 511 before travelling and to download the app for notifications.

HighOnCity reported on October 19 that the tunnel closed in all directions from October 25 to October 28 at 5
