La Fontaine tunnel closes Thursday for safety equipment work

Highway 25, including the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel, will close fully Thursday night, June 25, for safety equipment adjustments, Transport Quebec announced.
The complete closure runs from 10 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday between exit 5 (Route 138, Hochelaga Street, Sherbrooke Street) and the entrance from Charron Island heading toward the South Shore. Entrance ramps will close 30 minutes earlier.
Souligny Avenue will also see partial closures: eastbound between Dickson and Honoré-Beaugrand streets from 9:30 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday, and westbound between Honoré-Beaugrand and Dickson streets from 9:30 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday.
Transport Quebec recommends checking Quebec 511 before traveling and notes that work may be postponed due to bad weather.
