Man stabbed at Montreal North Walmart in serious condition

A 22-year-old man is in serious condition after being stabbed inside a Walmart in Montreal North on Tuesday afternoon.
Police responded to the store on Henri-Bourassa Boulevard near Lacordaire Boulevard around 4:30 p.m. The victim was stabbed in the upper body during an altercation with a group that started inside the store but ended outside, according to SPVM spokesperson Raphaël Bergeron.
The man was rushed to the hospital. The suspects fled the scene, and investigators have not determined a motive for the attack.
Police are reviewing video surveillance to identify the suspects and have established a security perimeter around the store. Bergeron said officers are collecting witness statements and working to obtain a full description of those involved.
